【摘要】:Thetwoproceduresinthistestmethodareusedaloneorincombinationtoidentifyfuelsorblendsthatcouldresultinexcessivecentrifugeloading,strainerplugging,tanksludgeformation,orsimilaroperatingproblems.AspotratingofNumber3orhigheronafinishedfueloilbythecleanlinessprocedureindicatesthatthefuelcontainsexcessivesuspendedsolidsandislikelytocauseoperatingproblems.Althoughafuelmaytestcleanwhensubjectedtothecleanlinessprocedure,suspendedsolidsmayprecipitatewhenthefuelismixedwithablendstock.EvidenceofsuchincompatibilityisindicatedbyaspotratingofNumber3orhigherinthecompatibilityprocedure.1.1Thistestmethodcoversseparateproceduresfordeterminingthecleanlinessofresidualfueloilandthecompatibilityofaresidualfueloilwithablendstock.Itisapplicabletoresidualfueloilswithviscositiesupto50cSt(1cSt=1mm2s)at100176;C.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
